About the author

A computer science teacher who has been building websites for twenty years

My name is Maksym Ohorodnikov. I live in Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône) and work online with clients across France.

I trained as a teacher of computer science and physics at Mykolaiv Pedagogical University, 2001–2006. I taught for three years: two in a state school and one in a private gymnasium, where I ran a course for 10–16-year-olds on building websites without coding.

That is where the Webinkub format comes from. A web studio hands over a finished website. What I do is different: break the complicated into simple steps and bring a person to the point where they can manage on their own. If a thirteen-year-old can put together a working page, an adult entrepreneur certainly can — what’s needed is a clear order of steps and a check at each one.

I explain things in plain words

That’s a profession, not self-flattery: three years of teaching and a degree in education.

I break work into steps

The task is split into actions you can do one at a time and verify.

I check before you spend the time

I look at decisions before you put a month of work into them.

I take you to independence

The goal is for you to run the site yourself afterwards, without constant help.

Teaching always ran alongside the business

years in business, advertising and web. More than fifteen of them in web

Teaching was never a separate chapter of my life. While I was deputy director of a printing house and owned an advertising agency, I was teaching at a school at the same time. When I ran my own web studio in Odesa, I was teaching at a gymnasium. Business and teaching always went side by side, and the Webinkub format grew out of exactly that combination.

From 2003 to 2014 I worked in advertising and print: from courier to head of production and owner of my own agency, selling in large volumes and training in sales and objection handling. That is why I look at a website not as a layout but as a selling tool: what a person understands in the first five seconds, what stops them, and at which point they leave.

I built my first website in 2007 for a charity in Ukraine — back then it was a hobby alongside my main job. More than fifteen years of practice followed; there was a year when my agency launched five sites a week. I have worked with over twenty CMS platforms and all the popular frameworks, and more than a hundred of those projects were online shops.

Advertising and print

Eleven years: from courier to agency owner. I know how buying decisions are made.

Web

Over 15 years of practice, more than 20 CMS platforms, over a hundred online shops.

Artificial intelligence

I bring AI into small-business work: copy, translation, code, data analysis. A course is in preparation.

France: I’m not advising from the sidelines

I have been in France since 2023. In autumn 2024 I registered a micro-entreprise — the very same process I write about in the guides. I am also finance director of the association WMA Solidaire.

I worked my own way through URSSAF, impots.gouv.fr and the pages a French website is required to have — so I know exactly where the time gets lost.

Languages. Russian, Ukrainian and English. French copy I prepare with AI, with a native speaker checking the result. I say so plainly: it is a working method, and it is also part of what I teach. If your text needs a native proofreader, I will tell you in advance, not after delivery.

Limits. I do not give legal, tax or immigration advice, and I do not promise search rankings.
