Guide: a website for a micro-entrepreneur
- Home page structure
- services
- prices or ranges
- contact
- mentions légales
A micro-entrepreneur’s website has to explain the service, the area covered, the reasons to trust you and the way to get in touch — plus the basic legal information — and do it fast.
What you get
Home page structure; services; prices or ranges; contact; mentions légales; Google profile
A micro-entrepreneur’s website solves one problem: explaining in under a minute what you do, for whom, in what area, and how to reach you. Everything else is an extension you can add as clients start arriving.
Why one page is often enough
For a one-person business, a multi-page site usually does more harm than good: it takes longer to build, is harder to maintain and is easier to get lost in. One honest page with a clear offer works better than eight half-empty ones.
What the site must contain
The minimum: who you are, what you offer, for whom, in which town or region, what it costs or where the price starts, how to reach you, and why you can be trusted — a photo, your experience, examples of your work.
Where to start if there is no site yet
Start with the text, not the template. Put your offer into two sentences, gather your photos and prices, and only then pick a tool. A site built around ready copy comes together in an evening.
A clear service and a price
Name the service in your client’s words, not in industry jargon. Give a price or a range — its absence filters out more people than a high figure does.
Contact in one step
A contact button on the first screen and at the end of the page. A form, an email, a phone number or a messenger — one channel is enough, as long as it works.
The mandatory pages
A site operating in France needs mentions légales and, if it has a form or analytics, a privacy policy. Check the exact requirements in the official sources — the links are gathered on the “France resources” page.
One more common mistake: a site with no geography. If you work in a particular town or department, say so plainly, otherwise local search will not show you at all.
